WHAT IS A GARAGE KEEPERS LIEN (GKL)?
A Michigan GKL is a legal claim on a vehicle for unpaid services like repair, labor, estimating fees, storage and parts allowing the garage to hold the vehicle and potentially sell it to recover their costs. The vehicle must be titled in Michigan.
